The Pacific Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross announces the kickoff of the 2021 Ride for the Red cycling event. The ride will take place on Saturday, November 13.
There will be three rides going through Ventura County, a century (100 miles) starting at 6:30 a.m., a metric century (about 62 miles) starting at 8:00 a.m. and a half metric century (30 miles) starting at 9:00 a.m. Each route will start and end at the Red Cross headquarters in Camarillo.
Registration is open now! Each registered rider will receive a rider bag with several free items. Veterans and active duty servicemembers can choose any ride for $10, proof of service will be required at the start of the race.
All proceeds will support the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces, which helps members of the military, veterans, and their families prepare for, cope with and respond to the challenges of military service. For event details, please visit redcross.org/rideforthered
“With everyone being stuck at home since March 2020, we are so happy to see this event return. We look forward to seeing a lot of riders this year, both new and returning to the ride, in support of our military and to have a great time.”
