Over Labor Day weekend, the Creek Fire ignited and immediately prompted evacuations for several communities.
The American Red Cross is working alongside government and community partners to provide shelter, food, and comfort for people forced to leave their homes with little notice due to the Creek Fire and Peckinpah Fire in the Central California Region.
Evacuation Centers
Mariposa County Fairgrounds, 5007 Fairgrounds Rd, Mariposa, CA 95338
Clovis North High School at 2770 E. International Ave, Fresno, CA 93730
The Red Cross delivers help to anyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or citizenship status. People who have disaster-caused needs do not need to be American citizens to access Red Cross services, and government agencies, such as ICE, do not have access to our shelters. English and Spanish-speaking staff will be there to make these safe, supportive places for all.

How You Can Help
- For the safety of our shelter residents and workers, the Red Cross is unable to accept in-kind or material donations of any kind right now. Due to increased safety measures for COVID-19, storing, sorting, cleaning and distributing donated items could be especially risky.
- But you can support our disaster-response work in two other very important ways: Become a Red Cross volunteer and/or make a financial donation.
- Become a volunteer: Please consider getting trained as a Shelter Worker so that you can help us help others during wildfires and other large disasters. Apply online at redcross.org/volunteertoday
- Make a financial donation: by visiting redcross.org/donate, call 1-800-RED CROSS, or text the word CAWILDFIRES to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
Mark yourselves safe
